ARTIST

Janycia is a Christian and multifaceted artist. All things dance: she’s a dancer, instructor, and choreographer based in Arizona. Janycia originally grew up in Naperville, IL, and began her dance training and education at age two. At that age, she started training in dance styles, Ballet, Tap, & Jazz at a Fine Arts company right outside of Chicago, IL.

One of Janycia’s biggest achievements was when she was the only freshman to make her high school’s senior company dance team her freshman year. 

As Janycia grew older, she realized she had a passion for teaching! She says, “It was God’s given gift to me to use my talents to willingly help serve the Lord and his people.” As she formerly used to help out with the little kids at her dance studio while growing up, she then became a dance teacher’s assistant her senior year in high school. After high school, Janycia then went to college to pursue an Arts degree that she’s proud to add as an asset to her teaching. 

Aside from dance, Janycia has also coached cheer and gymnastics, as she has a background in acrobatics and tumbling. Now, Janycia dances professionally and teaches throughout the Phoenix Valley, including dance styles: Ballet, Lyrical, Tap, Jazz & Acro Dance.

Janycia established ‘‘Janycia’s Artistry’’ to help educate the next generation of dancers, in addition to helping them achieve their dance goals through reaching their fullest potential.
